When did it happen?

Mainly from 10:30am to about 4pm

For those arriving early, a pre-event started on Friday 13th June with a late afternoon dog walk across the nearby lanes and fields, follwoed by a BBQ at the Wicks Farm camp site.

The main event started with the volunteer walkers collecting their assigned hounds from Hersham around 8:30am and everyone arriving at the beach around 10:30-11:30am.

Then there was dog walking and games/competitions (and prize givings) on the beach until about 1:00pm. After the group photo, everyone chilled out - incl. picnics in the car park field. There was a special homeless hounds' chill-out zone where they were pampered and anyone thinking of a new member of the family could spend some time getting to know the homeless hounds a bit.

The Hersham hounds could stay out a bit longer than in 2007, but had to leave soon after 2:30pm to get back to the kennels by 4.00pm to be fed, paddocked and tucked in for the night before the kennel staff leave for the night.
