Reach the Beach 2007

On 9th June 2007 at East Head (near West Wittering) in West Sussex (UK), 210 rescue greyhounds took part in the ReachTheBeach'07  beach walk. Some are shown in the group photo below.

ReachTheBeach '07 was organised from Hersham Hounds - home kennel of Wimbledon Greyhound Welfare. There were enough volunteer walkers to take 55 (just about all) of the hounds resident at Hersham awaiting re-homing. Another 155 re-homed greys (and other sighthounds) went to the beach to meet their old kennel mates and paddle/swim in the warm water.
