Oh I do like to be beside the seaside....
Tiger & Daisy Annie invited all their greyhound kennel mates and their re-homed friends to Reach The Beach again....

RtB was again cost-free to participants (except for WEE's parking fee). The costs of the event were borne personally by the small group of organisers including the Hersham Hounds volunteers.

On 14th June 2008 at East Head (near West Wittering) in West Sussex (UK), over 200 rescue greyhounds took part in the ReachTheBeach'08 beach walk.
ReachTheBeach '08 was organised from Hersham Hounds - home kennel of Wimbledon Greyhound Welfare. There were enough volunteer walkers to take just about all of the hounds resident at Hersham awaiting re-homing. And lots of re-homed greys (and other sighthounds) came to the beach to meet their old kennel mates and paddle/swim in the warm water.
